Attractions of Tir (June - July)

1- Brown Bear: June and July are the best time to get the chance to see the Brown Bear in Iran. These bears can be seen in Alborz and Zagros mountains of Iran. Over this period they are together with their newly born cubs in high grasslands.

2- Arasbaran - East Azarbayjan: The Arasbaran protected area is one of the unique areas in the country. Over June and July this mountainous area is covered with diverse vegetation and pleasant weather which makes traveling joyful. Over 1028species of plants has been reported from the area.

3- Marsh Crocodile: The hot summer of Sistan and Baloutchestan province reduces the level of water in small ponds and makes crocodiles easier to see. These ponds are sacred to the natives.

4- Red Deer: June and July are the most favorable periods of the year to observe Red deer in high grasslands of Alborz Mountains.

5- Sea Turtle: Sea turtles are hatching in these weeks on the coasts of Persian Gulf and Oman Sea. Five species of sea turtles have been identified in Iran’s southern waters.

6- Mouteh Wildlife Refuge - Isfahan: the largest number of Goitered Gazelle in Iran is living in this area. The warm seasons are the best time to observe the larger mammals of the deserts of Iran.

7- Insects: Warm seasons are the best period for observing and identifying the insects. Survey of Butterfly fauna of Varjin Protected Area is under development by our NGO.

8- Golden Eagle: The female Golden eagle can be observed with its new born chicks in Varjin protected area during this season.

9- Onagers: The Asiatic wild ass has a unique subspecies which occur only in Iran. You can observe these wonderful creatures just in Bahramgour P.A and Touran N.P. In this season they can be observed with their Young.

10- Fishing in Lar Lake: Lar N.P is hosting hundreds of sport fishers nowadays. The wild Puppies are now fully grown in this season too.
