Persian leopard (Panthera pardus saxicolor) photographed
in Bamoo national park.
On July 30 a leopard photographed by camera trap in Narkesmi spring while scratching
on tree.
This camera trap deployed in the national park on July 21 during big games (wild
sheep - wild goat - Goitered gazelle) population estimate program. This site was
selected by Plan for the Land wildlife experts and park game guards because of fresh
tracks of leopard and previous scratches on the same tree.
After 10 days photos of Persian leopard (Panthera pardus saxicolor),
goitered gazelle (Gazella Subgutturosa) and wild boar
(Sus scrofa) were captured.
Located in Fars province, with area of 48000 ha, Bamoo National Park has 143 animal
species and 350 plant species.
Persian Leopard is the largest subspecies in the world with distribution in Iran
