National day for conservation of Asiatic Cheetah

31 august was the "National day for conservation of Asiatic Cheetah". Celebrations held for the first time in Darabad Wildlife museum, Tehran and 16 other cities throughout Iran. NGO's and active Societies including Plan for the Land society, ICS, Eco-researchers, Mohitban and Wildlife public awareness society in company with governmental organizations CACP, DOE and Darabad museum participated in this program.
Different public awareness activities done mostly by younger generations in the event. Main activities were Group painting, Wildlife footages and photos, posters and educational games which done to increase the chance of survival of this magnificent species in Asia and Iran.
Plan for the land society was the executive of public painting program. The celebration started from 10 am to 7 pm and finished with a statement on Asiatic Cheetah conservation issues in Iran.
Hope these kinds of activities and collaborations assist governmental organizations, local people and game-wardens to conserve the fragile population of Asiatic Cheetah from extinction.
